Featuring Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice)

This painting is part of the "Books on Canvas" Series. It featurest the first sentence of  "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. The man that is portrayed is Zack Pinsent, who is famous for crafting period clothing and who became an icon for being so true to himself. His portrayal underlines the ironic take on the featured quote. Just like not every man is in search of a wife other "truths" that are "universally acknowledged" are in fact not true. They painting is framed ina a wooden floating frame. Please write me an email if you have any questions about this painting.
