Portrait of Tomoe
€ 3.000,00Preis
This painting is named after Tomoe Gozen, one of the few female japanese warriors (Onna-musha) from the 12th century. Her figure is combined with a kanji that means "love".
The strong diagonal line of the sword stands in contrast to the soft cherry flowers and the round medium, just like the detailed kimono pattern and the strong vertical and horizontal lines.
The form of the canvas resembles a shield and underlines the protective character of the painting. Tomoe might be the protector of your home and loved ones.
